We employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

3.1 Payments (Paddle)

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

  • Data Shared: Email address, country of residence.
  • Note: We do not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to Paddle whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy.

3.2 Artificial Intelligence (Google Gemini)

We use Google's Gemini API to generate travel plans and maps.

  • Data Shared: Your travel wizard inputs (Destination, Budget, Dates) are sent to Google to generate the response.
  • Privacy: Google does not use your data to train their models in this context, but data processing occurs on Google's servers.

3.3 Analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog to analyze the use of our Service and improve the user experience.

  • Data Collected: Mouse movements, clicks, scroll position, browser type, and page usage patterns (Session Replay).
  • Purpose: To identify bugs, optimize the travel planner wizard, and understand user preferences.
  • Privacy: PostHog captures data to help us improve the product. Sensitive input fields (like passwords or payment details) are automatically masked.

3.4 Authentication (Google OAuth)

We use Google OAuth to allow you to log in easily.

  • Data Accessed: We access your basic profile information (Name, Email, Profile Picture) to create your account.

4. Use of Data

PlanSnap uses the collected data for various purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the Service (including the 3-day free trial and subscription access).
  • To notify you about changes to our Service.
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so (e.g., editing plans).
  • To provide customer care and support.
  • To monitor the usage of the Service via PostHog.
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information.

  • Essential Cookies: Required for authentication and the operation of the travel planner.
  • Analytics Cookies (PostHog): Used to gather data on visitor behavior and improve PlanSnap's performance.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service (e.g., staying logged in).
